It's a coffee coloured world

A new year, a fresh start.

So, feeling a little less bogged down now that the holidays have passed.  I’ll admit, I have a love/hate relationship with the last six weeks or so of the year.  Too many holidays full of family and expectations that almost always fall flat.  I’m a hopeless dreamer, hopeful dreamer maybe?  I don’t know.

I haven’t gotten back on the writing horse yet (oh crap now I have crafting ideas about a writing horse) but I will on Monday.  I promise.  I usually take the weekends and tackle crafting/quilting projects so I’m taking the extended weekend to do just that.  But I do want to share a new-ish venture.  I’ve re-booted my other journal (the blogspot one) as a crafting journal.  I want to share my crafts but this just isn’t the place for it.  I can (and do) share my knitting over at Ravelry but there isn’t a similar place for quilting (which is such a shame).  Anyway.

My plans for the new year are similar to last year’s.  To write more, to get to a point where I can start sending out queries and to finally get out from under the piles of unfinished projects I have cluttering up my space and my mind.

  1. If you do craft a writing horse, I hope to see pictures of it on your craft blog.

  3. Of course I’m here to ask the dreadful question: Did you start today?

Yeah, I’m one of those people.

    Happy New Year!

  4. I don’t mind the question Melissa, I’ve been reading over the manuscript reminding myself of the story but that’s all I’ve been doing.
