Never said they were subtle

So, it’s not uncommon for me to wake up with a song stuck in my head.  Actually I rarely remember a day that hasn’t started just like that.  I used to think it was because I slept with the radio on and probably was the cause of most of it.  These days I sleep with the television on (don’t start with me about that) so it’s less likely the cause.  Yesterday the song of the morning was “Are you alright” by Lucinda Williams.  If you know it, you know it’s not the happiest of songs is probably partly to blame for the funk I was in all day.  But today song (and one I had in my head a couple days last week) is “never-ending Story”  by Limahl.  Yeah, I thought it was a little weird but it gets weirder.  The Williams song . . . it’s on the playlist for the story I’m currently working.   (hint number one)  This morning’s selection, now that I’m finally sitting down to it . . . fits the current story rather well (no really) .  (hint number two)

Yeah never said the Younger Miss Bennetts were subtle and they’re not being such today that’s for damn sure.

Oh and of course this morning I found another email in my inbox from the contact I want/need to talk to about this story.

Then there were the 3 news articles I found browsing that have given me even more insight into this story and my hero’s journey.

Looks like I’m writing today.  I fear what the girls will bring me tomorrow if I don’t.

  1. I wake up with songs going through my head too, so I know the feeling.

Yay for all the good research! Something must be in the air. I’m going to write today too. We’ll see how it goes. . .

  2. It’s great research and it’s helping me spin the story better, definitely making it a different story that what it was previously.

  3. Hooray!!!! The girls love you and are sending you all kinds of lovely brain candy. That’s fabulous–can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next. 🙂

  4. Yup, getting plenty of brain candy. Started new this morning and have 2 pages. I also got most of my hand written notes on the computer last night, which is rare for me.
